Made in China, Delivered to Southeast Asia: Ueerl Hyperbaric Chambers Post 385% Overseas Growth
Another shipment of Ueerl hyperbaric oxygen chambers has left a factory in China and arrived by sea in Kuala Lumpur, where units are now installed across upscale malls and wellness centers. The brand reports overseas orders up 385% year-on-year, with Southeast Asia emerging as its fastest-growing regional market.
From Kuala Lumpur to Penang, and from Singapore to the Philippines, the chambers have moved into the region’s premium consumer scene, appearing in longevity centers, private clubs, beauty studios, gyms, resort hotels and private villas. At Kuala Lumpur’s IOI City Mall, several units now operate inside a leading international longevity center. A beauty studio in the Pavilion Bukit Jalil district has paired chamber sessions with facial treatments, using the combination to lift average spending per client.
Fitness operators are adopting the technology for recovery: a Penang studio uses mild-pressure, oxygen-enriched sessions to speed lactic-acid clearance and ease post-workout soreness, while a well-known Bangkok Muay Thai gym has made chamber sessions part of fighters’ pre- and post-bout routines. A top Singapore fitness club installed multiple units set to a custom 1.5 ATA recovery pressure, and a five-star Philippine resort added a twin-person chamber to its spa to sharpen its competitive edge.
The devices are also becoming an unexpected gifting trend. In one private villa project outside Kuala Lumpur, a chamber engraved with a daughter’s name turned out to be a birthday present from her father — a sign that, among the region’s wealthy households, high-tech wellness equipment is beginning to rival handbags and jewelry as a gesture of affection.
Ueerl says its edge lies in both product and delivery. Where conventional home chambers are typically cramped, lie-down-only capsules, its latest generation allows users to sit, stand or recline, with a 170-degree reclining seat, private screen and fresh-air system built in. The current lineup spans single, double and multi-person units across a 1.3–1.9 ATA pressure range, and a modular build means chambers fit through standard 80-centimeter doorways without renovation. An in-house engineering team handles installation and staff training on site.
The company says its products now reach more than 50 countries and over 50 experience centers worldwide, part of a broader shift among Chinese wellness-equipment makers from exporting single products toward offering full product ranges paired with local service — a move from “Made in China” toward what industry watchers are calling “Defined by China.”
