All micro-hypobaric oxygen chambers for elderly care have been put into use in Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

The inauguration ceremony of the elderly care home and community micro hyperbaric oxygen chamber in Hainan Prefecture of Qinghai Province was held at the Elderly Activity Center of the State Administration for Civil Affairs. This project has now achieved full coverage of 10 elderly care institutions (elderly activity centers) and 5 pilot communities in five counties across the province, marking that more elderly people can enjoy convenient and professional health care services “right at their doorstep”.

As an important measure to enhance the supply of elderly care services, the micro-hypobaric oxygen chamber configuration project is fully funded by the state budget, aiming to meet the diversified health care needs of the elderly population. The project has scientifically equipped each elderly care institution with 2-person or 6-person micro-hypobaric oxygen chambers, and has uniformly provided 6-person equipment for the pilot communities. Currently, all the equipment has been installed, debugged, and inspected and accepted, and has been officially put into operation.

At the ceremony opening, the project planning background and its social value were elaborated in detail. The equipment construction party also presented the technical advantages and operation and maintenance guarantee plans. Subsequently, the on-site personnel jointly揭牌the oxygen chamber room and conducted a practical observation and experience of the equipment operation process, personally experiencing the new transformation brought about by the integration of elderly care services and technology.

Community resident Chen Qing expressed her feelings after the experience: “Previously, I thought these professional health care devices were far away from us. Now they have been directly installed in the community, which is so convenient. I feel my breathing is smoother and my body is much more relaxed. It really hits the nail on the head.”

The commissioning of the micro-pressure hyperbaric oxygen chamber has filled the gap in professional health equipment for local grassroots elderly care institutions. It is reported that in the next step, efforts will be made to establish long-term mechanisms for equipment operation, safety maintenance, etc., and strengthen personnel training and daily supervision to ensure that this people’s livelihood project can last and be beneficial to the people in a standardized manner. Taking this as an opportunity, Hainan Prefecture will continue to improve the service system combining health care and elderly care, promote the improvement of elderly care services, and truly enhance the sense of gain, happiness, and security of the elderly.
