Recently, the investment layout of Kalipu (Zhejiang) Medical Device Co., Ltd. in Xinjiang has achieved substantial progress—Kalipu (Xinjiang) Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. was officially registered and established in April 2025. This marks the extension of the Zhejiang-based enterprise’s medical and health industry chain to the fertile lands of southern Xinjiang, demonstrating its concrete response to the call of enhancing and upgrading the “Sweet Potato Economy” under the “No.1 Opening-Up Project.”
- Preparations for Xinjiang Layout: Policy Support and Enterprise Communication
As a professional enterprise qualified for Class II medical molecular sieve oxygen generators, Kalipu had long been preparing for its layout in Xinjiang. In 2024, Wang Huarun, President of the company, took oxygen generator samples to conduct on-site research in Alar City as part of a delegation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs. The local preferential policies regarding land, workshops, and equipment laid the foundation for the project’s implementation. Prior to this, the Party and government delegation of Shule County also made a special trip to Zhejiang to visit the enterprise, building a communication bridge for cooperation between the two regions and highlighting Xinjiang’s urgent need and positive attitude toward introducing high-quality medical resources.
- Dual-Line Layout in Xinjiang: “Production + Service”
With this deployment in Xinjiang, Kalipu has formed a dual-line layout of “production + service.”
- On the production side: leveraging Xinjiang’s geographical advantage as the center of Eurasia, the new company will establish a localized production base for medical equipment and is expected to radiate to the Central Asian and European markets with the help of transportation plans such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway.
On the service side: the enterprise has initiated cooperation with mid-to-high-end communities in Kashgar Prefecture, entering health demand scenarios such as sub-health conditioning and fatigue recovery through micro-pressure oxygen chamber services. A professional team is fully responsible for equipment installation and operation, providing local residents with a “health charging station at their doorstep.”
